Monki Flip
After my last game jam with the Atlanta GameDev community, I joined their “Accountability Group” where we hold a monthly meeting to show what we’ve accomplished and the things we’re currently working on, as well as getting suggestions and pointers on things we’re struggling with. This document outlines one of those months.
What is Monki Flip
This document outlines the game requirements for “Monki Flip”. A game about a monkey doing backflips on platforms of varying heights to traverse the map. Score will go up the further the player gets.

Goals
My goals for this project was to learn how to do the following:
- Easing functions for flips
- animation state machines
- Infinite obstacle generation And I was able to accomplish them pretty well. I was surprised by how easy the state machine made my animations move from one to the next but I think the way I coded it scales very poorly.

Next
I have decided to move onto a big boy game engine. For my next project, I’ve decided that I will be moving to raylib for more control and freedom over what I can do.
